Siemens strengthens its position as “SAP for the railways”

The city of Braunschweig is a traditional industrial center in north-west Germany. In the immediate vicinity of the main train station is a large research and production plant of the Siemens group with 3,500 employees. It is the largest Siemens site for rail automation worldwide.

Berlin “Siemensstadt Square”: Massive investments in the future

125 years ago, Siemens & Halske acquired a 21-hectare property on the “Nonnenwiesen” in Spandau, which was still independent at the time. From 1914 the district, which now belongs to Berlin, was called Siemensstadt. This large area is now to be given a second future under the name “Siemensstadt Square”.
