I would like to see a noticeable growth spurt for rail: at least a 25 percent market share by 2030. We must shift transport from road to rail if the transport sector is to meet its climate protection obligations. 

Innovations such as the digital automatic coupling, which take the entire system into account, are crucial for competitive rail freight transport. They create the basis for significantly faster and more efficient processes and ensure optimized utilization of the existing network. 

The Europe-wide introduction of the DAC must be vigorously pursued this year. We will do our part.
