The 52-year-old Dutchman took up his new position on February 1st. He will lead the company’s newly merged central technical team. The aim of the current internal reorganization at Europe’s second largest wagon rental company is to further expand customer-oriented service – for example through a noticeable improvement in the turn-around time (TAT) in the maintenance of the freight wagon fleet.
Vincent Metz completed his master’s degree at Eindhoven University of Technology. From his time in various management positions at Air France and KLM, his experience in the organization and digitization of maintenance processes is broad. His areas of responsibility included aircraft maintenance, but also pricing and revenue management. His new employer emphasizes that he and his teams have set the highest safety and excellence standards in the aviation industry. Metz will contribute its know-how to the permanent improvement of customer service, productivity and safety at Ermewa and provide new impetus here.
Ermewa SA is one of the leading European companies in the rental of rail vehicles. The wagon keeper, based in Paris, currently has over 44,000 wagons and a wide range of 120 different wagon types. er/hfs
