In 2016 I was invited to work as a journalist for the newly founded B2B specialist magazine bahn manager from Hanse-Medien Verlag Lüneburg.
I worked there as editor-in-chief until 2021. Then the dvv publishing house in Hamburg took over the magazine. I continued to work as a senior correspondent until the end of 2021 and am still a freelancer there today. With this blog and our magazine “CARGO FREIGHT JOURNAL”, we want to focus this experience and energy specifically on the cargo, freight and rail industry – in English and German.

The UEEIV is the European umbrella organisation of national organisations of railway engineers. It has members in 14 countries inside and outside the European Union. In 2024, it was decided that our specialist journal CARGO FREIGHT JOURNAL (CFJ) would become the official media partner of the UEEIV. Our specialist magazine rail & mobility is also involved in the partnership.
We support the procurement of rolling stock, wagons and traction vehicles. We can also find suitable workshops and partners for repairs and modernisation as well as the delivery of spare parts.
Value appraisals on rolling stock, technical translations, repairs and vehicle purchases can be organised via the Interlok Bahnconsulting consulting agency. So 20 gravel side tippers were delivered to the PEG railroad company as in the photo. (author: Hermann Schmidtendorf).
For the international forwarding company Otto Haalboom, Hamburg, we produced several video films that are on the company’s website. We can make such films for you too! Our photo (author Hermann Schmidtendorf) shows the loading of rail transport wagons in Sweden.
